BIO:
Hi there, Scott here!
I was born and raised in Baltimore and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2018 with my wife Lisa, our dog Halley, a camera, and a complete ignorance of the incredible experiences that awaited us. Once we settled in Seattle, we wasted no time hitting the hills, eager to explore the places we'd only seen on Instagram before our move. It didn't take long for us to feel that we truly belonged in the mountains, even if we initially had no idea what to do there.
Our desires for mountain adventures led us to joining The Mountaineers in 2019. Soon after joining we were lucky enough to be selected as part of the 2020 Basic Alpine Climbing Course. And with that we finally had a piece to all of this that we we were looking for: a formal curriculum that would teach us how to safely venture deeper into the mountainous terrain.
Fast forward through countless adventures, and now you'll find Lisa and I, Halley and our young pup Tahoma hiking, skiing, climbing, camping, overlanding up, down and around the PNW. Our home base is now on the Hood Canal, right in the shadow of the Olympic Mountains.
I’m beyond grateful for the places I have been able to discover, the things I have been able to experience, and the people who have guided and joined me along the way. We don’t have to do this outdoor stuff, we get to. how stupid lucky are we?
